§ 04

Current Appointment
Independent Director, Companies Act, 2013
Board appointment
The board seat gives me a direct view of how audit committees respond to problems, how related-party transactions are reviewed, and how disclosure duties shape what an Indian company does once an investigation starts.

Holding both admissions has a practical consequence. My duties of confidentiality under the California rules apply wherever I work, including in India. Evidence collected in India can be gathered and certified by a lawyer who knows what a US court will require of it.

§ 05 · Representative engagements

The engagements below are examples of my work. Where the work is on the public record, the entry says so. Where it was done under client confidentiality, the entry describes it in general terms without naming the client or the other side.

Court-appointed forensic execution
Appointed Local Commissioner under Order XXVI of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 by the Madras and Rajasthan High Courts, in intellectual property litigation between two US competitors. The work covered court-directed inspection, seizure and forensic preservation of material, with findings reported directly to the court and coordination with US counsel throughout. The appointments are on the public record at both courts.
Cross-border e-discovery and electronic evidence
After an enforcement action exposed the Indian arm of a multinational logistics company to a criminal investigation, technology-assisted review was run across a multilingual set of documents. Collection, processing and review were set up so that the electronic evidence would hold its integrity in more than one jurisdiction.
